Dead trees near an empty dam lake

When we went to Corrèze in September, the Bort les Orgues dam lake was being emptied. We were thus able to walk down what had been a nice valley before EDF decided to turn it into a sterile lake. Two things surprised us: first there is no vegetation on the bottom of the lake, second not all the trees were chopped down before being covered with water.
My brother in law went to visit the barrage twice and took photos where there is hardly any water remaining. You can check them out on the Barrage de Bort les Orgues gallery of his website.
