Large house

Collonges la Rouge was a rather rich town in the past. This is easily seen in the village as large houses, manors and private hostels are everywhere. Until the 18th century, its inhabitants did not have to pay royal taxes thanks to a special privilege, which explains how thriving Collonges was.
