| Masgot is a very picturesque village of northern Creuse, where a stone carver named François Michaud did a number of sculptures in the 19th century. He left these in the village and they can be seen in a number of different places there: in gardens, on walls, near fountains. They represent animals or characters, some linked to political events of his time. The village is still quite attached to stone carving and proposes exhibits and even courses where you are taught the basics of this art. |
