| The Limousin is a region in center France, on the south western edge of the Massif Central. Some of its areas are remote and well preserved, especially since the massive rural migration that took place at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, emptying many villages. So far, we have visited areas of Creuse and Corrèze, exploring and photographing small churches, ruined castles and stone bridges. You will also find a lot of water pics in this gallery. Water is omnipresent in southern Creuse, as well as on the Plateau de Millevaches. Ponds, peat bogs, rivers and springs, fountains, are everywhere, some of the latter being considered holy places. |
