Barge on the Marne river

This kind of barge is frequently seen at quays on the Marne and the Seine. They were converted from transport barges to floating houses. This kind of option is interesting, given the high price of real estate in the Paris region, but there are obviousely limits to it when the Marne or Seine overflow, which happens at least once a year.
