At around 3 in the afternoon on festival days, a parade takes place in the streets of Provins. During the medieval festival, the parade is a show of medieval characters, ranging from beggars to city officials.
Here you can see men-at-arms wearing various armor types and wielding different weapons. Two of these guys are wearing gambesons (padded armor) over chain mail, which must have been ubearably hot on that day as temperature was over 30İC (86İF). One of the men in the background carries a poleaxe also called bardiche.
