The gardens of Vaux le Vicomte have a large series of basins supplied in water by a reservoir and three underground aqueducts of several miles of length. The water system is quite complex, considering it was built in the 17th century.
Every second and last saturday of each month (from March to October) from 3pm to 6pm, the fountains of the gardens are put to life just in a spectacular display.
The character and statues of this basin seem to be of mythological inspiration, like most of the rest of the statues of Vaux, and the ones of Versailles.
