Another of the muskrat that live on the banks of the Marne river. This one is swimming in a water turned orange by the reflection of the fall tree leaves.
This specie of rats was originally native from North America, but was introduced in Europe at the start of the 20th century.
They are considered as pests as they dig into river banks and sometimes cause them to collapse. They have plenty of areas in which to nest in certain areas along the Marne.
