Sentinel deer statue

The castle of Rambouillet is set in an important domain and has an extensive park with free entrance for the public. Like most such parks in the Paris regions, it has large basins and scattered sculptures. This deer statue is typical of the former hunting domains of the French monarchy. Similar looking ones can be found in the parks of Sceaux and Chantilly.
