This type of horse carriage is used to visit the gardens of the Versailles Palace. This way of moving around is probably the most romantic and closest to what the kings that lived there experienced, but if you (rightly) fear using that kind of vehicle on pavements, you can also rent a bycicle or take a small tourist train.
