| Saint Nectaire is in fact the junction of two towns: the upper one, built on mount Cornadore, and the lower one. It is a very old settlement as the romans had set up thermes there to take advantage of its hot springs. The town later became a local religious center with a large roman church and a priory. Saint Nectaire is also the name of a variety of cheese. |
