Front de mer in Houlgate

Houlgate is located between Cabourg and the falaises des Vaches Noires (black cow cliffs). It is a rather old seaside resort that welcomed Napoleon the Third, the prince of Wales and other celebrities during its time of grandeur. Marcel Proust, Emile Zola and Sasha Guitry also came to Houlgate regularly.
But time has gone by and Houlgate is now less trendy than Deauville and Trouville.
