The Pantheon is set on what was formerly a hill, now called the Montagne Sainte Geneviève, in the 5th arrondissement, on the south bank (rive gauche) of Paris.
It is brightly lit at night, which makes it visible from the banks of the Seine. I had not seen the clouds that seem to light it until I looked into my viewfinder, and they disappeared quickly afterwards.
