| Saint Sulpice is a small square whose church of jesuitian style is known worldwide since Dan Brown used it as a setting for two chapters of his Da Vinci Code. The church construction began in 1646, laster for more than 140 years and still looks a bit unfinished, especially the towers which are mismatched. Numerous architects and artists worked on its construction and decoration. Some of them, even modified work previousely done by others. Inside, the church is spacious and rather luminous thanks to large arched windows. It boasts one of the largest organs in Europe. |
