| We used to live in Paris, but it is not the case anymore. Like many parisians, we had to move to the suburbs to get a larger flat at a reasonable price. Our photographic visits to the capital of France are less frequent than before. But we especially like Paris in late Spring and Summer, and generally cannot resist warm evenings with their golden light and night photography opportunities, even if that means towing the 6 pound tripod all the way to Paris in the suburban train. All seasons are interesting in Paris, but the most interesting time to take photos is the same in all seasons: from the golden hour till pitch black night. Paris monuments and most interesting buildings are very nicely lit and this website now contains a growing collection of night photos taken during our evening rambles. Besides, we enjoy walking along the Seine river on a warm Summer Saturday evening, among tourists and other people, all happy to be there. Night conceals the ugliest aspects of Paris and reveals the most beautiful ones. |
