Sleepy pig

Happy pigs make good meat. In Corsica, cattle breeders have understood this. Their animals are left to wander on roadside, mainly in forested and remote areas.
This is probably not very productive as pigs bred this way are smaller than usual and have less meat. On the other hand, their meat is tastier and is used to make some of the finest delicatessen that we've ever tasted such as saucisson, figatellu, coppa, lonzo...
