A narrow street with half timbered houses in downtown Nantes. Despite a terrible bombing by the US Air Force in September 1943, the city still has a number of old buildings.
Unlike others in western France (including nearby Saint Nazaire), it was liberated fairly quickly from the germans in the Summer of 1944 and was not bombed after this date.
