There was a fair in Nantes when I took these photos. It was mainly located on the Cours Saint Pierre, which is close to the cathedral (and has the same name).
The construction of this building only started in the 15th century, well after most other french cathedrals, and was only completed in the 19th century. The builders managed to keep its gothic style constant and this late construction allowed some architectural advances. For instance the vaults are higher than the ones of Notre Dame de Paris.
