Crane footprints

That morning, we woke up early and went out to see the cranes fly from the lake to their feeding grounds. There was a thick fog and we did not see anything. We heard the cranes, though and saw a maze of footprints when we went into the muddy banks of the lake of the Der. The fog did not clear until Midday.
